Preserving California's precious agricultural lands and maintaining organic farming methods drives Hidden Hillside. Offering shared experiences on the farm helps us continue our practices and allows our community to immerse itself in some of San Diego's longest-standing agricultural lands. Spread over 20 acres among the rolling hills of Valley Center, our sun-kissed orchard features cherimoya, guava, avocado, persimmon, and various citrus trees.

MEET THE OWNERS

Hey there! We’re Carly and Christian, the owners of Hidden Hillside! Our journey began back in 2016 at a digital marketing agency, where our shared passion for entrepreneurship sparked. Carly launched Daily Chew Catering in 2018, while Christian explored various entrepreneurial ventures. With our background in the wedding industry, we've always desired to venture into venue ownership, an idea we've been refining for years.

 

We got engaged in 2022 and it wasn't until we dove into planning our own wedding that we realized just how much venues can cost! Instead of choosing between buying a house or having the perfect wedding, we decided to marry the two ideas together! A 20-acre fruit farm was never in the plans, but when we stumbled upon the property, we couldn't resist its allure. Although we weren't expecting to add farming to our resumés, we fell in love with Valley Center, the stunning views, and the big plot of land we can call our own! Our vision for Hidden Hillside is to allow couples like us to have a beautiful, big, AND affordable wedding!

ABOUT THE FARM

Hidden Hillside is located in the heart of San Diego County's agricultural center. Throughout the 20-acre property, you can find organically grown cherimoya, guava varieties, avocado, various citrus, and Fuyu persimmons. The property has been actively farmed for over 20 years, and the organic farming methods have continued through multiple owners. We believe in sustainable agriculture and strive to maintain the natural balance of our ecosystem. This allows us to provide our customers with the highest quality, nutritious, and flavorful fruit and also ensures the health and well-being of our soil, plants, and wildlife.
